As with any matter that is prosecuted before the criminal courts, health and safety prosecutions pursued by the Health and Safety Executive (HSC) end up in the Magistrates or Crown Courts.  Cases need to be vigorously defended not only because of the financial implications for the organisation concerned, but also to safeguard its reputation from the press that will automatically follow.  We are also fortunate to have well established links with health and safety advisors and consultants who we can bring in to a case crucial advice that can assist in relation to any particular health and safety prosecution.  Those same advisors can be used if there is any concern about the existing health and safety practices if they are considered to be unsafe.  We offer an advisory service that will assist clients in tightening up internal policies and procedures that will manage the risk of an incident.
