Seat Belts

Children under the age of 14 must not ride in the front seat unless secured by a seatbelt. 

Children under the age of 14 riding in a rear seat must wear seatbelts where they are fitted. 

Children under the age of 12 and less than 1500 mm in height should not ride in the rear with no seatbelt if there is a seatbelt in the front and unoccupied. 

The fine for contravention is £500 at Magistrates Court.
