The Criminal Damage Act 1971 makes it an offence to threaten to damage your own property, or property belonging to someone else AND thereby endangering life.

Magistrates can hand down a £5000 fine and a 6 month prison sentence.

Crown Court can give a maximum of 10 years in prison and unlimited fines.
